D&C Paveright is a growing construction and paving company based in Ireland, delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and public realm projects across Ireland.

We specialize in durable, well-executed paving and civil works, combining practical site expertise with strong commercial management to deliver projects efficiently and profitably.

As part of our expansion, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Construction Estimator who understands both construction realities and commercial performance.

This is not a purely office-based QS role - we are seeking someone who can connect site measurements, real purchase costs, and profitable pricing.

The Role

A hybrid Site + Commercial position ideal for someone who wants to grow into commercial management or leadership roles within construction.

You will transform measurements and supplier costs into accurate and profitable project pricing while supporting live project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site measurements (areas, quantities, progress verification)
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs
• Price works based on real supplier and execution costs
• Analyse: supplier pricing, labour productivity, project profitability
• Prepare commercial offers and tender submissions
• Produce valuations and payment documentation
• Monitor project cost performance and margins
• Liaise directly with clients, suppliers, contractors, and site teams
• Validate completed work stages on-site
• Organise technical and commercial data using Excel and digital systems
• Use tablets and digital tools for fast reporting

Requirements

• Experience in construction / civil works / estimating / quantity surveying
• Ability to perform accurate site measurements
• Strong understanding of: material costs, labour productivity, commercial margins
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Comfortable using laptop, tablet, and mobile technology
• Conversational English & Romanian
• Full Category B driving licence
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commercial awareness and financial responsibility mindset
• Willingness to relocate to Ireland and work within construction schedules
• (Mon–Fri: 08:00–18:00 | Sat: 09:00–15:00)
