The Mission
The Data Governance Manager is responsible for DWH Data Quality and Integrity in ING Bank Romania. 
The team managed by him/her is also acting as the ING Bank Romania’s (ING RO) Data Protection Executive (DPE).
He/she supports the Chief Data Officer (CDO) of ING Romania, aligning and working together with Data Management Competency Center (DMCC) Manager, for design and implementation of Data Strategy for ING Bank Romania.
Your Day-to-Day
People manager for Data Governance team (cca.10 FTE), delivering:
- Responsible for safeguarding ING Bank Romania data and its quality (trusted data – complete, accurate, consistent, and appropriate) Data Quality activities:
o Design, maintenance and support implementation of data quality framework locally, according to group requirement
o Monitoring data quality within ING Bank Romania, by requiring implementation of reports and defining data quality dashboards
o Ensuring appropriate action is taken in case of data quality issues (feedback loop)
o Managing and closing audit/non-audit points opened in iRisk and provide guidelines for the solutions resulted from these analyses related to data quality
o Creating and updating of the specific procedures of cleaning data and maintain it for all the users involved in collecting and using data

- Act as DPE for ING Bank Romania:
o Driving implementation of the GDPR/GDPP and relevant legislation and monitor compliance with the legislation (e.g. through governance, data inventory, data policies & processes, quality, architecture, etc.)
o Complete/maintain information asset register, privacy impact assessments and data classification reporting
o Manage data breach notification and the resolution and remedial action of all data protection incidents and report these where appropriate to the (local) NFRC and Bank Data Protection Officer

- Data Strategy:
o Assisting local CDO in designing the local data management strategy (governance, definitions, policies & processes, quality, organizational structure, architecture, privacy, security, sustained awareness, etc.), in accordance with the global data management strategy
o Assisting local CDO, together with DMCC Manager in fostering relationship with the local CEO/COO/CIO in order to align investment plans related to data management

What you bring to the team
- Good understanding of general banking environment and ING Banking products, services and operational flows; very good understanding of interdependencies within organization, both from a technical and a dynamics point of view
- Excellent stakeholder management skills;
- Good people management skills (mentoring, coaching, team engagement, facilitation, mediation)
- Knowledge of data quality: data profiling, data quality assessment, root cause analysis, data integration, data parsing, matching / de-duplication, etc.; usage of data quality tools (e.g. IBM InfoSphere) would be a plus;
- Good knowledge of GDPR/ GDPP regulations;
- Knowledge of Basel III international banking regulations (including BCBS239) would be a plus.
- Involved in Data Governance and setting up roles for Data Management would be a plus
- Strong project management skills; ability to develop working processes that provide structure and discipline
- Data driven and computer savvy; excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package; knowledge of SQL and BI tools (ETL tools, SAS, Cognos, Power Bi) would be a plus
- Analytical thinking, able to work under pressure, capable to meet certain deadlines
- English (writing, speaking) advanced
