Employment duration:
Our goal is to find a suitable working period for you. Positions typically start between October and December 2026 and continue until March or April 2027.
Some roles are available for the peak Christmas season only.
Location:
Jobs are located across Finnish Lapland: in towns, villages and other tourism destination areas. Some locations are busier with more services, while others are more peaceful and surrounded by nature.
Locations include Rovaniemi, Levi, Ranua, Luosto, Ruka, Ylläs, Saariselkä, Utsjoki, and Kemi.
Working hours:
Typical contracts are 90-112.5 hours per 3 weeks, averaging approximately 30-37.5 hours per week.
Salary:
Salary is typically based on the role and experience:
• €13-20 / hour for chefs
• €12-17 / hour for waiters
Additional compensation applies for Sundays and public holidays (double pay), as well as evening and night shift bonuses in accordance with collective labour agreements.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is usually arranged by Bolt.Works or the client company. Options typically include shared accommodation or, where possible, single rooms with shared facilities. Rent generally ranges from €250 to €550 depending on the location and type of accommodation.
Working environment:
The busiest periods are Christmas and the school winter holidays in February. Shift volumes vary depending on seasonal demand.
Lapland winters are cold, with temperatures typically ranging from -5°C to -30°C, and wind chill can make it feel even colder. Commuting often includes short walks outdoors in freezing conditions.

We aim to arrange jobs within the same partner company or area so you can share accommodation where possible.
We offer a referral bonus: €1 per hour for every hour your friend works, up to 250 hours. You can refer as many friends as you like. The bonus is paid when your friend and you are employed by Bolt.Works at the same time.

What kind of work is this?
You will work either as an à la carte chef or an à la carte waiter in a restaurant in Lapland. The workplace can be a hotel restaurant, resort restaurant or a smaller independent restaurant in Rovaniemi (the capital of Lapland) or elsewhere in the region.
The winter season is one of the busiest periods of the year, especially during Christmas period when customer volumes are at their highest.
