PuntoUP Professional Recruitment is looking for an Area Sales Representative on behalf of a leading multinational in the professional power tools industry. The role covers the Transylvania region and involves managing an established portfolio of trade channel clients — independent hardware, electrical, and construction supply stores — while identifying new business opportunities. Location: Ideal base: Mureș or Cluj; Region covers Mureș, Cluj, Bihor, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Maramureș, Harghita, Covasna


Main Purpose of the Job: The Area Sales Representative manages an active portfolio of trade channel clients (traditional retail: hardware, electrical, construction accessories, and DIY stores) across the Transylvania region. The role focuses on deepening existing client relationships and supporting their business growth, alongside identifying and developing new dealer partnerships. Client visits are focused on business development conversations, project discussions, and presenting the company's product ecosystem — not order collection, which clients handle independently via the B2B platform.


Job Profile:

  • Manage and develop relationships with an existing portfolio of approximately 15 active trade channel clients across the region.
  • Visit key clients on a regular basis to discuss projects, new opportunities, and business development.
  • Present the company's full product portfolio and business model to potential new dealers, ensuring they understand the commercial and operational advantages of the partnership.
  • Identify and qualify new dealer prospects across the region, focusing on incremental coverage in underrepresented areas.
  • Coordinate with in-store demonstrators to support sell-out activities at client locations.
  • Monitor client business performance and provide support to help clients grow their sell-through.
  • Represent the company at relevant trade events, exhibitions, and regional meetings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular activity and forecast reports.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitor activity, and product knowledge.


Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in building materials, construction consumables, tools, or related trade channels.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and meeting sales targets.
  • Experience in the power tool industry is an advantage, but not a requirement — candidates from adjacent sectors (construction consumables, electrical supplies, hand tools) are equally considered.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — able to explain a business model clearly and persuasively to a potential dealer.
  • Self-organized, autonomous, and comfortable managing a territory without day-to-day supervision.
  • Genuine appetite for field sales and client interaction.
  • Good command of MS Office tools.
  • Valid category B driving license; willingness to travel regularly within the region.
  • Working knowledge of English is an advantage.
