Area of Accountability
The Plant Robotic Engineer will provide technical expertise for robotic applications to ensure product quality and continuous improvement to the manufacturing processes. Responsible for troubleshooting robotic systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance on systems to minimize downtime, while keeping safety as a priority. Provide training and technical support to Production Team Members
Main responsibilities:
Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality.
Ensure that operator safety devices function properly.
Provide support to Production team about robot’s functionality.
Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or repair as needed.
Support goal of achieving first time quality and efficiency.
Maintain accurate documentation resulting in shared knowledge of issues and lessons learned.
Troubleshoot and train others on identifying root causes of equipment failures.
Facilitate on-the-job team member training.
Oversee all upgrades and programming changes.
Utilize good working knowledge of all technologies used in the development and build of automated lines.
Develop and implement innovative solutions to manufacturing issues related to product development or enhancement.
Execute equipment efficiency studies, through time and motion studies, or standard data to ensure effective line balancing.
Monitor and maintain good housekeeping to the robotic lines.
Handle confidential information on a regular basis.
