Travel Tour Operator & Reservations
Tour Operator Agent

• Create and personalise tour offers for private guests, couples, families, and small groups.
• Respond to enquiries and recommend suitable tours, experiences, transfers, and additional services.
• Prepare itineraries, quotations, booking confirmations, payment information, and reservation documents.
• Manage reservations from the initial request until the completion of the service.
• Update guest information, booking details, pick-up locations, schedules, and special requests.
• Coordinate with guides, drivers, tourism partners, wineries, attractions, restaurants, and other service providers.
• Follow up with potential clients and support the conversion of enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Guest Communication

• Communicate professionally with international guests by email, WhatsApp, social media, and booking platforms.
• Provide clear information regarding itineraries, meeting points, pick-up times, inclusions, cancellations, and travel recommendations.
• Assist guests before, during, and after their experience.
• Handle last-minute changes, delays, special requests, and customer concerns calmly and professionally.
• Maintain a warm, helpful, and personalised communication style that reflects the BackTrip brand.

OTA and Booking Platform Management

• Manage reservations and guest messages received through online travel agencies and distribution platforms.
• Monitor bookings from platforms such as GetYourGuide, Viator, Tripadvisor, and other OTA partners.
• Experience with Bókun or another reservation management system is highly appreciated.

Marketing & Sales
Social Media and Community Management

• Respond to messages, comments, and enquiries received through BackTrip’s social media channels.

• Support communication with individual travellers, content creators, travel bloggers, and social media influencers.

• Help manage collaborations with influencers and ensure effective follow-up before and after their experience.

• Assist with the preparation of simple visual content, promotional materials, guest communications, and social media posts.

• Experience with Canva is considered an advantage.Reviews and Guest FeedbackMonitor reviews received on Google, Tripadvisor, GetYourGuide, Viator, and other platforms.

• Prepare personalised and professional replies to guest reviews.

• Follow up with guests after their tour and encourage them to share feedback.

• Report recurring customer comments and help identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.

• Handle negative feedback with empathy, professionalism, and a solution-oriented approach.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a tour operator, travel agency, DMC, OTA, hotel, hospitality company, concierge service, or customer service role.
• Experience with B2C reservations, guest relations, travel sales, or tour operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several bookings, conversations, and priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable communicating with international customers.
• Commercial mindset and ability to convert enquiries into bookings.
• Creative, proactive, reliable, and solution-oriented.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, growing team.
• Good knowledge of social media communication and online customer service.

Language Requirements:

• English & Romanian are mandatory.
• French
• Spanish
• Italian
• Knowledge of other languages is considered an advantage.

Digital Skills Experience with the following tools or similar platforms is appreciated:
