For several construction projects in The Netherlands, we are looking for experienced Block Layers (Thin-Joint Masons) to join professional and growing construction teams.
As a Block Layer, you will be responsible for building interior and exterior walls using large-format concrete, aerated concrete, or sand-lime blocks. You will work with special adhesive mortar (thin-joint glue) to create strong, straight, and high-quality wall constructions.
What is Block Laying (Thin-Joint Masonry)?
Block laying is a modern construction method where large building blocks are bonded together using a special adhesive instead of traditional thick mortar joints. This technique allows for faster construction, precise alignment, and high-quality finishes.
What will you do?
As a Block Layer, your responsibilities include:
Reading and interpreting construction drawings and measurements
Preparing work areas and materials
Measuring, marking, and setting out wall positions
Applying adhesive mortar (block glue) correctly
Laying concrete, aerated concrete, or sand-lime blocks accurately
Checking levels, alignment, and dimensions during construction
Cutting and fitting blocks where required
Constructing interior and exterior walls according to project specifications
Ensuring high-quality workmanship and finishing
Maintaining a safe and organized workplace
Following all safety regulations and site procedures
