Join one of Romania’s key players in large scale agriculture.

We are currently partnering with a well established agricultural business in Brăila to appoint an experienced Chief Accountant who will play a key role in leading accounting operations, financial reporting, month end close, and statutory compliance.

This is a high visibility finance role with ownership, leadership exposure, and direct impact on business performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead month end and year end close activities

• Own financial submissions, reconciliations, and reporting accuracy

• Review accounting transactions, payments, bank reconciliations, and intercompany balances

• Oversee inventory accounting and stock related financial controls

• Prepare and review balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow reporting

• Perform variance analysis, impairment reviews, and financial controls checks

• Support audited financial statements and external / internal audits

• Prepare accounting memos for significant accounting events

• Drive process improvements, efficiencies, and stronger internal controls

• Act as the main accounting point of contact for business stakeholders

What we’re looking for

• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting

• Excellent understanding of Romanian accounting standards and technical accounting principles

• Experience with month end close and financial statement preparation

• Strong reconciliation, controls, and reporting capability

• Inventory / logistics accounting experience is highly valuable

• ERP exposure, ideally SAGE / SAP / Oracle

• Analytical mindset with strong problem solving ability

• Leadership mentality, ownership, and high professional standards
