We are looking for a Chief Accountant on behalf of one of our customers – an automotive company, part of a well-established European group, situated in Oarja, Arges County. We are seeking an experienced accounting professional with strong expertise in financial accounting who will lead the local team and ensure the accuracy and compliance of all accounting and tax-related processes. This is a key role that combines coordination with hands-on involvement.

Main responsibilities:

•  Leads and oversees the local accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting to Headquarters in line with Group policies and local regulations;
• Prepares month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including financial statements, account reconciliations, and reporting packages for the multinational Group;
• Ensures compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance procedures;
• Coordinates the accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and cash flow processes;
• Supports internal and external audits by ensuring audit readiness and the effective implementation of audit recommendations;
• Prepares and verifies statutory financial reports, tax declarations, and other financial compliance requirements;
• Acts as a key financial business partner for Plant Management, providing financial insights to support business growth, cost optimization, and operational excellence;
• Collaborates with regional and global finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards, reporting requirements, and best practices.

 Ideal Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree – Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
• 2 years of previous experience in a similar position, within the automotive industry;
• CECCAR certification – advantage;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
• SAP – advantage;
• English – advanced level;
• Very good analytical and problem-solving skills.
