Responsibility for the strategic and operational management of international procurement activities within defined commodity groups in the field of mechanical assemblies and manufacturing technology. This includes, in particular:

• Assembly and system modules;
• Gripper, fixture, and storage systems;
• Safety enclosures and laser cabins;
• Manufactured parts, welded assemblies, as well as machined and CNC components;
• Components produced through additive manufacturing, casting, and forming technologies;
• Turnkey sourcing projects, including engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning of complex assemblies and production systems;

Additional responsibilities include:

• Analyzing international procurement markets and assessing opportunities and risks within relevant supplier and sourcing markets;
• Developing and implementing global commodity strategies, continuously identifying and realizing cost optimization opportunities through international sourcing activities, particularly in Asia, in close cooperation with internal stakeholders;
• Planning and conducting international tenders, including bid evaluation as well as negotiation of contracts, pricing, and commercial terms;
• Managing operational purchasing activities from purchase order placement through schedule tracking to invoice verification and claim management;
• End-to-end contract management, including coordination of legal, tax, and commercial matters with internal and external stakeholders;
• Selecting, qualifying, developing, and managing international suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance targets are achieved;
• Actively contributing to cross-functional projects aimed at increasing efficiency, transparency, and process excellence within the procurement organization;

• Successfully completed degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification (e.g., certified technician or master craftsman with additional commercial training);
• Several years of professional experience in both strategic and operational procurement within an internationally active industrial company, ideally in the automotive or plant engineering industry;
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, combined with solid knowledge of modern manufacturing and production processes;
• Business fluent in German and English, both written and spoken;
• Proficient in SAP S/4HANA and standard Microsoft Office applications;
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style with a strong focus on cost efficiency and quality;
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work independently and target-oriented;
• Strong team player with high initiative and intercultural competence in an international business environment;
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
