This 12‑month opportunity within ASIC's Moneysmart program is suited to someone with a strong design background who wants to make a visible contribution quickly. The role focuses on improving how information is presented on the Moneysmart website by strengthening visual design, interactivity, uplifting visual assets and supporting clearer, more engaging content that creates better user experience. You will work hands‑on across design, web publishing and analytics, contributing to one of ASIC's most prominent consumer platforms.

The team
ASIC's Strategy and Corporate Affairs Group is responsible for delivering on the Commission's priorities through communications, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning and coordination. Within this group, Consumer Affairs leads ASIC's consumer communications and education, including the Moneysmart brand. Moneysmart equips Australians with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed financial decisions and continues to evolve to meet changing consumer needs and government priorities.
The role
As a Digital Content Designer, you will play a practical role in bringing the refreshed Moneysmart brand to life on the website. The role is primarily focused on enhancing the current written content through strong visual design, while also contributing some written and edited content where needed to improve clarity, structure and engagement. It combines hands‑on design, web publishing and analytics, and suits someone who enjoys improving how content looks, reads and performs.
Key Accountabilities Include
- Designing and producing high‑quality visual assets for the Moneysmart website, including infographics, graphics, charts, quizzes, and other engaging and interactive visual elements
- Enhancing existing written content through visual design, and contributing some written or edited content to support clarity and usability
- Publishing and maintaining web content end‑to‑end, including scheduling, uploading and ensuring alignment with SEO and web best practice
- Using analytics and performance data to inform design decisions, measure impact and refine content presentation
- Maintaining a consistent visual identity across digital assets and channels as per Moneysmart's brand guidelines
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver content and contribute to ongoing improvements in digital practice
About You
You have a strong design foundation and enjoy enhancing complex written content through visual design, while contributing some writing and editing where it adds value. Your experience may come from web or graphic design, and you bring practical skills in designing, editing and publishing digital content. You are comfortable working with content management systems and modern web technologies, with working knowledge of HTML, CSS and contemporary web standards, and you enjoy using analytics to understand what's working and refine visual assets.
You are a practical, organised operator who can manage multiple priorities and apply sound judgement when things are fast‑moving or ambiguous. You communicate clearly, work well with others and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders, vendors or product teams to get outcomes delivered. You stay calm under pressure, work logically through challenges and are comfortable operating in agile or evolving environments where you can contribute quickly and make a visible impact.
