Halfdays is on a mission to become the defining outdoor apparel brand for the modern woman. Since launching five years ago, we’ve grown more than 50% year over year every year, hit eight-figure revenues, and closed a $10 million Series A led by Kellwood Company. We’re in 150+ retail doors across North America (including Nordstrom, REI, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Revolve, and Shopbop) and we’re expanding from ski and winter into year-round trail, active, and everyday performance apparel.
About the role:
We’re hiring a Director of Marketing Strategy & Operations to be the connective tissue of our marketing team at a pivotal moment in our growth. This isn’t a traditional marketing manager role — you’ll be equal parts strategic thought partner, project manager, and executor. You’ll report directly to the CEO and work alongside our Directors of Brand and Digital Marketing to make sure the team is aligned, resourced, and moving in the same direction.
Think of this role as the operating layer that makes our marketing leadership team function as a unit. Our Director of Brand owns the creative vision and storytelling; our Director of Digital owns performance and channel execution; and you’ll be the person connecting those two worlds to each other, to the broader business, and to the CEO. You’ll ensure that strategy translates into action, that go-to-market plans are airtight before launch, and that nothing important gets lost between functions.
This is a role for someone who wants to shape the future of a company — not just participate in it.
What You’ll Do
- Lead go-to-market planning — own the end-to-end GTM process for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand moments, coordinating across Brand, Digital, product, and e-commerce to ensure every launch is sequenced, resourced, and ready — well in advance, not at the last minute
- Serve as the operating backbone of the marketing team — own the marketing calendar, manage cross-functional projects, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Partner with the CEO on marketing strategy, helping translate brand and business priorities into clear team roadmaps and quarterly plans
- Connect Brand and Digital — you’ll sit at the intersection of our two marketing directors, helping align creative vision with channel strategy and making sure both teams are working from the same priorities and timelines
- Drive marketing performance — build the reporting cadences and KPI frameworks that give leadership a clear, real-time view of how marketing is performing and where to invest
- Drive cross-functional alignment with product, e-commerce, and retail teams to ensure marketing is sequenced correctly and dependencies are managed
- Own special projects as we grow — new channel launches, international expansion, wholesale partnerships, and other initiatives that require both strategic thinking and operational follow-through
- Build systems and processes that help the team scale — project tracking, briefing standards, reporting cadences, and more
- Jump in where needed — whether that’s drafting a creative brief, pulling together a competitive analysis, or prepping a board-ready marketing update, you’re willing to roll up your sleeves
Why Halfdays
Halfdays is one of the fastest-growing women’s apparel brands in the outdoor industry. The people who join now will shape what it becomes.
You’ll join a team that moves fast, holds itself to high standards, and genuinely celebrates wins together. You’ll work directly with a founder-CEO who is deeply embedded in strategy, in a culture where your work is visible, your impact is real, and the upside grows with the company.
Who You Are
- 5–8 years of experience, with a background in management consulting and/or marketing at a high-growth consumer brand (fashion, activewear, beauty, or footwear strongly preferred)
- You’ve seen how a world-class organization operates — whether at a top consulting firm, a leading MBA program, or a high-performing company — and you’re hungry to bring that rigor somewhere you can actually build it yourself
- A natural integrator — you’re energized by connecting people and workstreams, not just owning a single lane
- Experienced in go-to-market planning and comfortable owning a launch process from brief to post-mortem
- Strong communicator who can write clearly, present confidently, and flex between audiences (creative team one hour, CEO the next)
- High ownership mentality — you notice what needs to happen and make it happen without waiting to be asked
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast pace; you’ve operated in an environment where things change quickly and structure is something you build, not something you’re handed
- Genuine enthusiasm for the outdoor/ski/lifestyle space is a plus
How We Work
- In-office in Denver with flexibility to work from home periodically.
- Collaborative, fast-paced, and deeply cross-functional.
Perks + Benefits
- Covered Medical, Dental and Vision for employees
- Generous Parental Leave
- Company paid parking
- Free Halfdays products for each season
