Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of School Operations for a mission-driven educational organization dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environment. This is a full-time, onsite leadership role offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on daily operations and the overall student experience.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of School Operations is a key leader responsible for ensuring the seamless day-to-day functioning of the organization while driving operational excellence across facilities, transportation, food services, and extended care programs. This role combines hands-on problem-solving with strategic planning, offering the opportunity to lead impactful initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and the overall school environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and optimize daily operations across facilities, transportation, food services, and extended care programs
  • Ensure a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment aligned with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and key operational and capital improvement projects
  • Supervise, mentor, and support operational staff, fostering a strong, accountable, and collaborative team culture
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Identify and implement process improvements while contributing to long-term strategic planning


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading operations, facilities, or multi-functional teams within a complex environment
  • Strong understanding of compliance, safety standards, and operational best practices
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage priorities and drive results
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders
  • Resourceful, organized, and able to navigate a fast-paced, evolving environment


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
