Adecco Romania is recruiting an Engineering Manager for one of its international manufacturing clients based in Drobeta Turnu Severin.

A well-established industrial player is looking for an Engineering Manager to take ownership of engineering operations within a production site in Drobeta Turnu Severin.

This is a hands-on coordination role where you will combine technical expertise with team leadership and plant performance responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Mechanical & Automation engineering team
• Ensure smooth daily technical operations within the plant
• Monitor and improve equipment reliability and performance
• Ensure compliance with machinery safety standards and local regulations
• Manage machinery investment projects and technical upgrades
• Control and optimize the maintenance budget
• Coordinate external contractors for maintenance activities and emergencies
• Act as the main interface between engineering teams and management
• Support execution of engineering projects from planning to implementation

Candidate profile

• 4–5 years of experience in a similar role
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field
• Good English level (spoken and written)
• Experience in coordinating technical or engineering teams
• Strong hands-on, problem-solving mindset
• Good organizational and planning skills
• Ability to work in a production/industrial environment
