Al Dahra is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced FP&A Manager to join our Romania team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across multiple business units including farming, manufacturing, and commercial operations. This is a strategic finance role, interfacing with both local management and Group headquarters, and will require expertise in local accounting and tax regulations as well as advanced use of ERP and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis
- Coordinate and manage the full cycle of financial reporting for local management and Group HQ, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
- Oversee the Financial Reporting Ecosystem, including data flows related to Management Information Systems (MIS), budget preparation, rolling forecasts, and in-depth financial analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for local leadership, Group Finance, and the Board of Directors (BoD).
- Consolidate and analyse performance across departments, farms, factories, and commercial segments, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategy Support
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and farm operations to ensure robust and realistic financial plans.
- Maintain and update rolling forecasts to reflect changing business conditions, providing forward-looking insights for decision-making.
- Conduct profitability analysis, cost modelling, efficiency studies, and scenario planning to support commercial and operational strategies.
- Provide financial modelling and evaluation for major strategic projects, including M&A, feasibility assessments, capital investments, and development initiatives.
Systems & Tools Mastery
- Utilize and integrate various financial platforms, including COGNOS Controller, COGNOS BI, Sage X3, SAP (S4, Ariba, SF), and Charisma, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting outputs.
- Maintain expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex financial modeling and PowerPoint for delivering professional presentations and dashboards to senior stakeholders.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure financial data is compliant with local accounting regulations and tax legislation (OMFP, Romanian Fiscal Code, etc.).
- Lead the preparation of the annual GRP Report, collaborating with auditors and relevant departments to ensure smooth audit completion.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles, ensuring proper documentation and compliance protocols are followed.
Ad-hoc Reporting & Business Support
- Generate and deliver timely daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports as required by executive management.
- Act as a finance business partner to cross-functional teams, delivering insights that drive performance and informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
- IFRS knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Minimum 5 years of solid experience in financial planning, accounting, reporting, and fiscal compliance.
- Proven expertise with ERP and financial systems such as SAP, Charisma, Sage X3, COGNOS.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, macros, financial models) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentations).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate an FP&A team in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
