PREH ROMANIA - famous supplier of car components, which produces multifunctional switches for steering wheel and central command and control elements for the automotive industry (BMW, Audi, Daimler, Porsche, etc.), is looking for the production site in the Brașov Industrial Park in Ghimbav, for an :

GLOBAL COMMODITY BUYER (MECHANICS)

The Global commodity buyer is the main face to the supplier and responsible for the performance and success within the assigned commodities.

Requirements:

• Completed studies e.g. in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualification;
• Experience in the above-mentioned area of responsibility, ideally in the automotive environment;
• Market and product knowledge of electronic and/or electromechanical components and manufacturers as well as purchasing and negotiation experience;
• Negotiating strength and assertiveness, structured work;
• Good problem solving and communication skills;
• Confident, field-tested English language skills;
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing and monitoring of material group & supplier strategies (global) for the assigned material groups;
• Overall responsible for pricing and conditions of the material within the commodity and all plants/entities globally;
• Managing and developing strategic suppliers per assigned material group (main responsible for supplier matrix content);
• Planning, implementing and managing negotiations with suppliers to determine contractual terms and conditions;
• Developing suppliers within commodity with the relevant Preh interface departments (SQA);
• Analyzing global contracts and risk management;
• Acting as escalation point for supplier issues with assigned commodity;
• Collecting input from local plant buyers (supplier performance, new potential suppliers, etc.);
• Main responsible within the assigned commodity to generate and implement gap closing measures together with Cost Engineering Teams according SICE process;
• Responsible for the commodity target achievement (annual targets / VPA).
