The Global Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, administration and continuous improvement of the company’s global network infrastructure.This role ensures the secure, reliable and efficient operation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN and firewall environments across international locations.The position also contributes to network modernization initiatives, infrastructure migrations and the ongoing enhancement of cybersecurity standards.Key Responsibilities Network Infrastructure AdministrationDesign, implement, administer and optimize enterprise network infrastructures.Configure, maintain and monitor LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN environments.Administer Cisco networking components, wireless infrastructure and Fortinet firewall solutions.Manage site-to-site VPN connections and secure remote connectivity solutions.Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of network services.Infrastructure Projects & MigrationsSupport network infrastructure modernization initiatives and hardware refresh projects.Assist with the migration of existing locations to new network platforms and technologies.Develop configurations, port profiles, implementation plans and migration procedures.Create and maintain technical documentation related to network architecture and operations.Network SecurityAdminister and maintain firewall environments and security policies.Contribute to the development and implementation of IT security concepts and standards.Implement network access control and port security solutions.Support compliance with corporate cybersecurity requirements and best practices.Operations & MonitoringMonitor network performance, capacity and availability.Conduct proactive troubleshooting, root cause analysis and issue resolution.Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of network services across all locations.Support performance optimization and capacity planning activities.End User & Service SupportProvide first- and second-level support within the networking domain.Support users and customer systems remotely or by telephone.Coordinate and manage activities performed by external service providers.Prepare and maintain operational and technical documentation.CollaborationWork closely with global IT infrastructure, security, and operations teams.Coordinate with vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers.Support international projects and infrastructure rollouts.Key InterfacesInternalAll IT departments across the organizationInfrastructure, Security, and Operations teamsBusiness stakeholders requiring network servicesExternalManaged service providersNetwork and security vendorsExternal implementation and support partnersMinimum QualificationsEducationOne of the following qualifications is preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceMaster’s degree in Computer ScienceDegree in Business InformaticsDegree in Information Technology or related disciplineCompleted vocational training as an IT Specialist, Network Administrator or comparable technical qualification with several years of relevant experienceEquivalent practical experience may be consideredProfessional ExperienceMinimum 2–3 years of professional experience in network administrationExperience supporting enterprise network environmentsExperience with firewall administration and network security technologiesCertificationsPreferred certifications include:Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Other Cisco certifications (CCNP or equivalent are advantageous)ITIL Foundation Certification Show more Show less
