Our client is a global distribution company specializing in steel pipes and pipe applications.

Their core business includes trading in steel pipes products, with specialist knowledge of logistics processes, stock planning, processing and project management in various markets and industries.

Reporting to: Managing Director

Based in: Slatina

The purpose of the Role:

  • Define the sales goals and metrics that align with the company's vision, mission, and objectives.
  • They need to set realistic and ambitious targets for revenue, growth, market share, customer satisfaction, and retention.
  • They also need to establish the key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks that measure the progress and results of the sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the annual sales budget and profit plan
  • Overall responsibility for sales and marketing activities
  • Develop profitable market growth of both Romanian and Bulgarian market
  • Build strong business relationships with customers and nurture those connections over time
  • Lead the sales team, ensure high levels of engagement and optimal distribution of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Define and implement a clear pricing strategy to ensure that all necessary elements needed to maximize the company’s hit-rate as well as its profitability (e.g. correct allocation of customers within categories, transportation costs, packaging costs, certificate costs, additional surcharges).
  • Build a strong internal relationship with Purchasing and Operations
  • Prepare routinary and ad hoc reporting on current business and foreseeable future trends, helping the local management to define suitable commercial strategy, to stay on the market with a long-term, profitability-driven approach.
