TalentLex LLC is seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist (English/Russian) to join our growing team. This part-time, hybrid HR role is ideal for entry-level or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience across key HR functions including employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, HR compliance, and performance management.

No prior HR experience required — we provide paid training and mentorship to help you succeed.

Job Details

  • Location: Northridge (Los Angeles), California
  • Work Type: Hybrid (2 days onsite, remainder remote)
  • Schedule: ~20 hours per week


Compensation

  • Training Period: $20–25/hour
  • Post-Training: $30/hour


Key Responsibilities (HR Generalist Duties)

Employee Relations

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries
  • Support employee engagement and resolve routine workplace concerns

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Assist with payroll processing, time tracking, and compensation accuracy
  • Support employee benefits administration (health, PTO, etc.)

HR Compliance (California Labor Law)

  • Ensure compliance with federal and California labor laws
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and client HR requirements

HR Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain HR records, employee files, and onboarding documentation
  • Ensure confidentiality and data accuracy

Performance Management

  • Assist with performance reviews, employee evaluations, and goal tracking

Training & Development

  • Coordinate employee training and onboarding sessions
  • Track learning and development initiatives

HR Reporting & Projects

  • Prepare HR reports (headcount, turnover, employee data)
  • Support ongoing HR projects across multiple clients

Communication & Issue Resolution

  • Handle HR communication via email and phone
  • Escalate complex employee relations issues when necessary


Required Skills

  • Fluent in English and Russian (required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to handle confidential HR information
  • Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn


Preferred Qualifications

  • Education or experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits administration
  • Understanding of California employment law (highly desirable)
  • HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus
