We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Engineer to drive the quality assurance strategy and lead a team of QA professionals in delivering high-quality software solutions. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with technical leadership, process improvement, and collaboration across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, a strong understanding of modern QA methodologies, and the ability to build scalable testing frameworks while fostering a quality-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of QA Engineers, fostering professional growth and promoting best testing practices.
• Define and implement the overall QA strategy, testing processes, and quality standards across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and testing approaches for new features and releases.
• Drive both manual and automated testing initiatives to improve product quality and testing efficiency.
• Review functional and technical requirements to ensure testability and identify potential risks early in the development cycle.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and regression test suites.
• Coordinate integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor software quality metrics and continuously improve testing processes and release quality.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Ensure testing activities are fully integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality ownership, and automation-first practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 2+ years of experience in a Lead or Senior QA role.
• Strong experience in both manual and automated software testing.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience designing and executing comprehensive test strategies.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as:
• Selenium
• Playwright
• Cypress
• Appium (optional)
• Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience validating database integrity.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Xray, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar).
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience with security and accessibility testing.
• ISTQB Advanced or Test Manager certification.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or automotive.
