This is the role

As a LEAN (Continuous Improvement) Coach, your main objective is to optimise workflows, increase operational efficiency and reduce waste and costs. You will coach managers and teams, facilitate improvement workshops and build a strong culture of continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Coach managers and teams on Lean principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Facilitate improvement workshops (e.g., Kaizen events) and support implementation of action plans.
• Train employees on Lean tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, PDCA, standard work and problem‑solving methods.
• Lead root cause analysis and structured problem solving for recurring/chronic issues.
• Analyse and organise process data; identify inefficiencies and propose practical improvements.
• Develop current and future state value stream maps and support implementation of improved workflows.
• Monitor Lean initiatives and track results using key performance metrics; communicate progress and outcomes.
• Support plant leadership in defining Lean priorities and strategies aligned with business goals.
• Promote employee engagement and continuous improvement mindset across production and maintenance teams.
• Support onboarding of new employees to Lean principles and plant CI ways of working, in close cooperation with HR.
• Escalate risks or issues related to correct Lean application to plant/OPCO management when needed.

This is who you are

• Education: University degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in Lean / Continuous Improvement, production excellence, or operations improvement in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Lean expertise: Hands‑on experience with Lean tools (5S, VSM, PDCA, Kaizen, RCA). Six Sigma knowledge/certification is a plus.
• Analytical skills: Strong ability to collect, analyse and interpret operational data and translate it into actionable improvements.
• Facilitation & coaching: Confident in leading workshops and coaching teams; strong communication skills at all levels.
• Mindset: Proactive, structured, collaborative, and results‑oriented; comfortable driving change and supporting change management.
• Languages: Romanian fluency required; good English
