We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a Contract to permanent position, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment. The role involves supporting litigation processes with a focus on insurance defense cases.
Responsibilities:
• Handle e-filing processes across various Pennsylvania counties to ensure timely submission of legal documents.
• Manage and maintain legal calendars, including scheduling deadlines, court dates, and appointments.
• Review, edit, and format legal documents to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Organize and manage case files using iManage or similar document management systems.
• Coordinate with attorneys and other legal staff to ensure smooth case progression.
• Assist with court filings and other litigation-related administrative tasks.
• Provide general administrative support as needed to facilitate daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties regarding case updates.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive legal information.
• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in litigation and insurance defense.
• Proficiency in e-filing procedures within Pennsylvania counties.
• Strong organizational skills with experience in calendar management.
• Familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of civil litigation processes and court filing requirements.
• Proficiency in standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
