Senior IT Specialist / IT Infrastructure Lead – Systems, Network & SecurityLocation: Sibiu, Romania (on-site, factory environment) Reports To: Head of ITAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a senior, all-around IT professional to take ownership of the full IT infrastructure at our Sibiu site — systems, network, security, applications, and IT asset management — and to act as the technical authority locally. You’ll work at both hands-on and strategic level: solving complex issues yourself, setting standards and documentation, mentoring junior team members, and driving infrastructure projects in close collaboration with our global IT organization.What You’ll DoOwn the architecture, administration, and continuous improvement of servers, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory).Design, configure, and maintain the site’s network infrastructure — LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, routing/switching, and firewall — ensuring high availability and performance.Act as the escalation point for complex systems and network issues; lead root-cause analysis and drive permanent fixes.Define and enforce IT security standards: access management, endpoint protection, backups, vulnerability management, and compliance with group security policies.Oversee business-critical applications (ERP and other line-of-business tools), coordinating upgrades, integrations, and vendor relationships.Own IT asset management and CMDB accuracy — hardware lifecycle, software licensing, and configuration records.Lead local IT projects end-to-end: upgrades, migrations, infrastructure modernization, and technology rollouts, in coordination with global IT teams.Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior IT staff.Represent local IT in cross-site and global infrastructure initiatives, bringing site-level input into group standards.Maintain high-quality technical documentation and drive adoption of ITIL-aligned processes.What You BringDegree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent extensive hands-on experience.5+ years of experience across systems administration and networking, including time in a senior, lead, or escalation-level role.Strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure administration.Solid networking background: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing/switching, VPN, and firewall administration (Cisco and/or Fortinet experience strongly preferred).Proven experience leading infrastructure projects or migrations from planning to execution.Strong understanding of IT security principles and practical experience implementing them in a business environment.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the judgment to prioritize and act independently.Strong communication skills — comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.Fluent written and spoken English.Experience working within or alongside an international/global IT organization.Certifications (preferred, not all required)Microsoft: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator ExpertCisco: CCNP (or equivalent), CCNA as a baselineSecurity: Fortinet NSE, Security+, or similarITIL Foundation (or higher)Project management exposure (PRINCE2, PMP, or similar) is a plus Show more Show less
