Title: Logistics Analyst

Location: 100% onsite in Lafayette, IN

Type: Contract

Hours: 7am-3pm. M-F

Pay: $22/hr w2- exact rate no flex

Length: 12 months- possibility to extend

Screenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hired

IV process: 1 or 2 rounds

+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full time

MUST HAVES:

• min education: High school diploma or GED required.

• 2-4 years related experience required (ideally 3+)

• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of using Excel and Power BI= Not creating but using.
• Ability to look at a variety of inputs to determine the output.

Summary:

The main function of a logistics planning analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical planning analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.

• Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.

• Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.

• Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.

• Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.

• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

• Assist procurement analyst with supplier shipdates, tracking of domestic and international shipments.
• Assist in ordering production material from other (client name removed) depots and facilities if supplier cannot provide material as determined by the procurement analyst.

Typical task breakdown:

• Support a team of 5 analyst to ensure schedules and deliveries are on time to support assembly operations.
• The majority of activities consist of working reports identifying potential part shortage issues.
• Tracking overseas shipments with extended transit times to verify ETA’s.
• Ordering material from alternative sources other than supplier. Such as (client name removed) parts depots or other (client name removed) facilities.

Interaction with team:My team all sits withing a few steps with each other. So interaction is done face to face; Teams are used for interaction and meetings.

Team Structure:

• Supervisor overseas 5 procurement analyst for support and assistance if needed. The positioned posted assist analyst in daily operations.

Work environment: Office environment requiring no PPE. Little or no need to go into assembly areas. Casual dress.
