General Information:

As a Materials and Technology Engineeryou will be an important part of the development of our Power Electronics products (inverters, converters, mild hybrid systems, transmission controls, HV Box). The area of responsibility includes a huge variety of mechatronic analyses of control units as a complete product as well as microscopic detailed analyses of individual interconnection technologies or materials, including documentation. You will work with suppliers in order to develop the next generation of materials used in the automotive industry.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out material analyses and development in collaboration with external suppliers;
• Teardown analysis of electronic modules (with focus on HV Electrification products);
• Damage Analysis;
• Consulting, implementation and evaluation of analyses especially in the field of packaging and connection technology;
• Planning Analysis Strategies (Tear Down);
• Responsibility for various analysis methods in the Analysis Lab area;

Your Qualifications:

• Completed studies in the field of engineering (e.g. materials science, mechatronics, mechanical engineering) or comparable qualification (Chemistry, Physics);
• Professional experience in the field of material development / analysis is desirable;
• Broad expertise in materials in the field of metal, plastics, ceramics and especially in packaging and connection technology of electronic components;
• Flexibility and structured work, experience in LEAN methods and working methods;
• Fluent in written and spoken English;
• Customer-oriented, entrepreneurial thinking, ability to work in a team, willingness to "drive the change" for future challenges of the automotive market (electrification, etc.);
• High quality orientation, knowledge of important standards of the automotive industry such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001;
