Mechanical Engineer – Design & Technical Sales

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support mechanical design activities, technical and commercial offer preparation, and production-related tasks such as manufacturing validation, bill of materials, laser nesting e.t.c. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering capabilities with a structured and analytical mindset, and is comfortable working across both technical and commercial domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for parts and assemblies (Fusion 360 / Inventor / SolidWorks).

• Ensure design compliance with standards, manufacturing constraints and project requirements.

• Select appropriate materials, fabrication methods and industrial processes.

• Analyse customer specifications and prepare complete technical and commercial offers.

• Estimate manufacturing costs, materials and lead times.

• Provide production support including BOM’s, sheet metal bending validation, nesting for laser cutting and technical clarification.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement and quality during project execution.

• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-optimisation initiatives.

Nice to Have

• Experience with stress analysis and FEA tools.

• Knowledge of classical structural calculations.

• Experience with CAM programming or CNC process preparation.

• Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, EN, ASME).

Profile and Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Professional experience in CAD-based mechanical design.

• Solid understanding of manufacturing and industrial processes.

• Ability to interpret requirements, evaluate costs and prepare structured offers.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and clear communication.
