Adecco Romania is recruiting for its client, an industrial metal manufacturing company, for the position of Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient and stable operation of the production plant, achieving operational and financial targets in line with production plans and defined quality standards.

• Lead and oversee production processes with a strong focus on operational discipline, process stability, cost optimization, and performance consistency.

• Define and implement clear operational standards, production capacities, and structured workflows to eliminate informal practices and increase organizational efficiency.

• Take full ownership of production KPIs, including productivity, quality, scrap reduction, labor efficiency, and energy consumption.

• Drive corrective action plans and ensure sustainable implementation of improvements and performance results.

• Lead the transition toward a structured, process-oriented organizational model.

• Build and develop a strong Plant Management Team

• Coach and support supervisors and first-line managers in adopting modern leadership and management practices.

• Define organizational structures, manpower planning, and competency requirements aligned with business and production needs.

• Ensure ongoing employee training, performance evaluation, and professional development initiatives.

• Manage resistance to change in a constructive yet firm manner, ensuring alignment with company standards, values, and expectations.

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure operational continuity and asset reliability.

• Approve extraordinary maintenance interventions when required.

• Identify and propose CAPEX investments focused on improving process robustness, operational efficiency, and reducing dependency on individual know-how.

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, eliminating unsafe or non-compliant behaviors.

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and ensure readiness for internal and external audits.

• Manage operational risks, production disruptions, and sensitive organizational situations associated with transformation and change.

• Serve as the escalation point toward HQ for critical operational matters, ensuring transparency, timely communication, and effective decision-making.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent industrial background
• Minimum 5 years leading production sites in structured organizations
• Strong production governance and industrial operations background
• Solid understanding of cost drivers and KPIs
• Ability to design and enforce processes, rules, and standards
• Proven experience in change management is a strong plus
• English proficiency required; (secound language is a plus)
