To support the implementation of our development strategy, we are looking for a Process Engineer for our location in Cisnădie.


As a Process Engineer, you are responsible for production and equipment planning during the project phase, as well as for modifications and improvements to equipment used in serial production.


Job Description:

Establishing the technological process, process approval (start-up):

  • Defines the optimal production flow and sets process parameters.
  • Prepares working documentation specific to each piece of equipment (work instructions) and supports the development of the operations plan.
  • Participates in drafting and updating the general PFMEA for production equipment.
  • Ensures the implementation of customer-specific requirements in the company’s internal activities, including but not limited to: customer-required quality objectives, customer-specific training, design-specific requirements (critical characteristics), and process-specific requirements (critical/special characteristics, capabilities, etc.).
  • Defines, updates, and communicates to the quality process and maintenance departments the list of devices generating critical product features.
  • Coordinates training activities for production and maintenance departments for new equipment.
  • Ensures the capability of processes and equipment.
  • Defines the theoretical capacity of the equipment.
  • Based on process needs, participates in the chemical approval process and in evaluating the risk level for both commonly used products and those introduced by contractors.
  • Participates in customer audits, environmental and HSE system audits, and quality system audits (IATF).

Installation of new equipment, layout:

  • Prepares technical specifications and requirement documents for new equipment in partnership with the maintenance supervisor and, when applicable, the process engineer.
  • Follows project development together with equipment suppliers.
  • Ensures reception, implementation, and approval of new/modified equipment.
  • Evaluates the HSE impact of new equipment/upgrades before ordering, at pre-reception, and at reception.
  • Defines machine layouts, component flows on the line, and placement of production equipment.
  • Supports the implementation of the TPM system.
  • Designs, manages, and improves operator procedures and operating standards.
  • Initiates and maintains relationships with service suppliers, including external maintenance services and contractors; monitors their activities, including HSE aspects/work permits and SSM/specific training requirements.

Maintaining and continuously improving processes and equipment:

  • Ensures compliance with the technological process.
  • Maintains continuous communication with NPI and counterparts in other plants to apply best practices and process standardization.
  • Prepares productivity improvement studies.
  • Proposes, coordinates, and implements solutions and projects aimed at improving technological processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Provides support to the HSE department for identifying and solving safety, ergonomics, and environmental issues.
  • Coordinates growth, standardization, improvement, and cost reduction projects.
  • Implements and monitors SMED.
  • Participates in complaint analysis and collaborates with the quality department to reduce PPM levels.

Continuous improvement processes (A3, objectives, Kaizen, Task Force):

  • Ensures the development of a culture based on continuous improvement.
  • Participates in analyzing Continuous Improvement requirements to propose development directions.
  • Proposes, participates in, and promotes Lean and Six Sigma requirements and knowledge development.
  • Ensures integration of all Continuous Improvement tools into internal process management.
  • Cascades Continuous Improvement initiatives at factory level, providing technical expertise throughout development or standardization projects.
  • Periodically monitors the status of Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Supports the standardization, consistency, and unified deployment of Continuous Improvement methods across the factory.
  • Participates in organizing local training sessions on Continuous Improvement and 6 Sigma tools.
  • Reports periodically to the direct manager on compliance with improvement processes, project status, change management, etc.

Change Management:

  • Participates in multidisciplinary teams regarding ECR.
  • Develops procedures and useful working tools (manages databases).
  • Ensures a culture based on risk assessment and smart approval of risks associated with changes.
  • Ensures integration of all customer requirements, standards, Continuous Improvement, and global quality/GTS functions into the internal process.
  • Participates in major events related to change management (CAPEX projects, new lines, etc.).
  • Proposes investment projects and participates in their justification.

Reporting, communication, and continuous improvement:

  • Actively contributes to improving factory performance: continuously identifies opportunities for improving own activity and factory performance (Kaizen ideas/month aligned with factory objectives).
  • Monitors the maturity evaluation systems for Continuous Improvement within the organization.
  • Monitors monthly/weekly reporting of Continuous Improvement project status to achieve the maturity level defined in annual objectives.
  • Applies Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve process indicators and productivity through analyses and improvement projects.
  • Participates in all required meetings (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).


Ideal Candidate:

  • Knowledge of process engineering
  • Experience in project management
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or others)
  • Knowledge of electronics/electrotechnics
  • Six Sigma knowledge
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)
  • Advanced English skills (mandatory) and/or German (advantage)
  • Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) (advantage)
