Grafton Recruitment is looking for a Production Coordinator for its client, an international manufacturing company based in Orăștie, Hunedoara county.

We are looking for a people-oriented production leader with experience in manufacturing environments, ideally plastic injection molding or automotive, who is comfortable leading production teams while driving operational performance through KPIs, continuous improvement and a strong presence on the shop floor.

This role is part of a long-term succession plan, offering the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Production Manager, gradually taking over operational responsibilities while contributing to the development of people, processes and production performance. Your Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop production teams, fostering accountability, engagement and performance.
• Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs, including OEE, productivity, scrap rate, production efficiency and production plan adherence.
• Analyze operational losses, identify root causes and implement corrective actions together with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate workforce planning, employee training and performance evaluation.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S and other continuous improvement projects.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Planning and Engineering to ensure smooth production flow.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes, team organization and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in a production leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
• Good understanding of production KPIs such as OEE, productivity, scrap rate and operational efficiency.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Good English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP is considered an advantage).
