We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Production Engineer to join our production facility in Lehliu Gară. In this role, you will oversee manufacturing activities within your area of responsibility, support efficient production processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will work closely with production, maintenance and quality teams to ensure that products are manufactured safely, efficiently and in line with required cost and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage production activities within the assigned area and provide guidance on manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Monitor the use and performance of production machinery and equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting the production line.
• Analyse process non-conformities, determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, efficiency and process reliability.
• Ensure that products are manufactured according to defined quality, cost and production standards.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of preventive maintenance programmes.
• Participate in projects related to the development and expansion of production capacity.
• Provide technical recommendations, guidance and training to production employees.
• Support TPM and other operational excellence activities.
• Cooperate closely with production, maintenance, quality and engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, health and safety requirements and company standards.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another relevant technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar production or manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience in sandwich panel production or a related industrial manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of technological flows and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in identifying and resolving production and equipment-related problems.
• Experience in leading or coordinating teams.
• Strong knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
• English at minimum B2 level.
• Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented and able to perform effectively under pressure.
• Willingness to work according to a shift schedule.
