About the Role

We are looking for a Production Engineer Team Lead to drive engineering excellence and operational flow at our client manufacturing facility in Făgăraș. This is a high-impact, shop-floor-based leadership role designed for a qualified engineer who thrives in a dynamic production environment.

Unlike traditional office-based engineering roles, you will be directly in the flow, leading a team of workers (laminators, winders, and assembly staff) to ensure that technical specifications are translated into high-quality composite products. Reporting directly to the Sector Chief, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between engineering design and flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct People Leadership: Manage, coordinate, and motivate a team of direct workers across the production flow, ensuring productivity and discipline.
• Engineering Oversight: Act as the technical authority on the shop floor, ensuring all processes—such as Hand Lay-up, Filament Winding, and Infusion—strictly follow lamination schemes and engineering designs.
• Operational Flow: Partner with the Sector Chief to maintain a steady production rhythm, optimize shift handovers, and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Quality Control: Monitor the structural and chemical integrity of products in real-time, catching defects early and implementing corrective actions.
• Safety Management: Enforce strict HSE protocols to maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.
• Process Improvement: Utilize your engineering background to identify and implement practical improvements that reduce material waste and optimize cycle times.

Requirements

• Education: University Degree in Engineering is mandatory (Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering).
• Experience: Proven track record in managing direct labor or blue-collar teams within a manufacturing setting.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes. Experience with large-scale structures (tanks, cisterns) is highly preferred.
• Mindset: You are a hands-on leader who prefers being on the production floor. You possess the ability to manage people and the technical mind to solve engineering challenges.
• Communication: Romanian and professionally proficient in English.
