We are looking for a Project Buyer to join our client's team in the Mechanics Business Unit. This is a key position where engineering meets commercial strategy.

Your Impact:

• Strategic Sourcing: You manage the full RFI/RFQ process, negotiations, and supplier awarding for the Mechanics commodity.
• Technical Ownership: You take charge of Tooling Management and BoM (Bill of Materials) evaluation, ensuring technical and commercial alignment.
• Cost Architecture: You use advanced negotiation strategies and tools like Cost Break Down and VAVE to ensure competitive pricing.
• Project Lifecycle: You safeguard the procurement process from the acquisition phase through serial ramp-up until ramp-down.
• Global Alignment: You work closely with Global Commodity Management (GCM) to implement robust sourcing strategies.
• Supplier Development: You support supplier qualification and industrialization (BQEE process) in new markets.

Who we are looking for:

• Background: Solid experience in Automotive Procurement is essential.
• Education: University degree in Engineering, Economics, or a technical-commercial mix.
• Soft Skills: Assertive, resilient, and a master of intercultural communication and negotiation.
• Technical Savvy: Ability to understand technical drawings and complex mechanical components.
• Language: Fluent in English (German is a major advantage).
• Mobility: Willingness to travel for supplier visits and project meetings.
