Are you an experienced procurement professional with a strong technical background and a passion for strategic sourcing? We're looking for a Commodity Manager to lead international procurement activities for mechanical assemblies and manufacturing technologies within a dynamic, global organization.

🔹 Your Responsibilities

As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of international procurement activities across categories such as:

• Mechanical assemblies and system modules
• Gripper, fixture, and storage systems
• Safety enclosures and laser cabins
• Machined parts, welded assemblies, CNC components, and manufactured parts
• Components produced through additive manufacturing, casting, and forming technologies
• Turnkey sourcing projects covering engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning

In this role, you will also:

✅ Analyze global supplier markets and identify sourcing opportunities and risks

✅ Develop and implement global commodity strategies with a focus on cost optimization

✅ Lead international RFQs/RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contract management

✅ Manage the full purchasing cycle, from purchase orders to invoice verification and claims management

✅ Select, qualify, develop, and manage international suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets

✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve procurement processes and drive operational excellence

🎯 Your Profile

✔ Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification

✔ Several years of experience in both strategic and operational procurement within an international manufacturing environment (automotive or plant engineering is a plus)

✔ Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understanding of manufacturing processes

✔ Business-fluent German and English (written and spoken)

✔ Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Office

✔ Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

✔ Independent, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and cost efficiency

✔ Team player with intercultural awareness and willingness to travel internationally
