About us:

Hendrickson is a leading global manufacturer of suspension systems and components for the

commercial vehicle industry. Hendrickson Romania in Sibiu is part of Hendrickson's European

network and employs over 300 people producing components for international customers.

The role:

As Purchasing Manager, you will lead the purchasing function for the Sibiu plant, covering direct

materials (steel and components) and indirect purchases. You will make sure supply is secure,

cost-competitive and high quality, and you will work closely with group purchasing in Europe.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and carry out the purchasing strategy for direct and indirect materials

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers; negotiate prices, contracts and terms

• Manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost) and development plans

• Monitor raw material markets (especially steel) and manage price changes

• Deliver cost reductions and savings targets

• Make sure materials are available for production, working with Logistics and Planning

• Lead and develop the purchasing team

• Ensure compliance with company policies, IATF 16949 and group procedures

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or Supply Chain

• 5+ years of purchasing experience in automotive or manufacturing, with team leadership

experience

• Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of commercial and contract terms

• Experience with steel or metal component sourcing is a strong advantage

• ERP experience (SAP or similar) and advanced Excel skills

• Fluent English; German is a plus

• Analytical, structured and business-oriented mindset
