To better support the implementation of our development strategy, we are looking for a Purchasing Specialist based at our location in Cisnădie.


Job Description


Role-specific Responsibilities

  • Supports purchasing activities within the assigned commodities and ensures alignment with internal processes and performance expectations.
  • Contributes to other purchasing areas (e.g., Non-Production Materials, Electronics, and Project Purchasing) as needed to ensure department performance and workload alignment.

Packaging Commodity Responsibilities

  • Manages daily purchasing activities related to packaging, ensuring competitive costs, required quality levels, and on-time availability for production needs.
  • Conducts benchmark activities to compare packaging concepts, materials, suppliers, costs and performance, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Supports localization initiatives by identifying and assessing potential local packaging suppliers and evaluating alternative materials that meet technical and commercial requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance and resolves discrepancies related to deliveries, quality issues, pricing deviations, or invoicing errors.
  • Collaborates proactively with Production, Logistics, and Quality to ensure packaging continuity and address any issues that may impact operations.
  • Provides timely communication and escalations regarding risks, delays, capacity constraints, or supply chain disruptions affecting packaging materials.

Packaging Commodity Responsibilities

  • Specific attributes of mechanical components
  • Conducts benchmarking for pricing, technology, delivery performance and supplier competitiveness.
  • Identifies and evaluates potential new suppliers for mechanical components.
  • Consolidates and bundles existing suppliers to reduce complexity and support competitiveness.
  • Collaborates closely with the Global Commodity Manager to align activities with the mechanical commodity strategy.
  • Provides first-level support in the plant for mechanic-related purchasing topics.
  • Participates in escalation processes and communicates risks or deviations to stakeholders.
  • Maintains accurate master data and supports analysis, reporting and documentation.

Tooling management

  • Maintains full visibility of all tools located at suppliers, including lifecycle, condition, changes and investment needs.
  • Coordinates tooling refurbishment, replacements, transfers and end-of-life planning.
  • Collects and validates tooling data from suppliers to support budgeting and risk evaluation.
  • Identifies tooling suppliers and benchmarks offers to support decision-making.
  • Negotiates commercial conditions for new tools and tooling changes.
  • Collaborates with Change Management, Global Purchasing, Quality and Production on tooling topics.
  • Supports escalation processes related to tooling performance or risks.


Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in purchasing or supply chain
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial/ automotive environment
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates strong negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Communicates clearly and professionally in both verbal and written form
  • Understands of procurement processes, supplier evaluation and cost-analysis methods
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation (drawings, specifications, BOMs) is an advantage
  • Fosters a culture of respect, collaboration, and transparent communication
  • Advanced command of English (spoken and written)
  • Strong cost-awareness and ability to secure competitive conditions without compromising quality
