Looking for an QC Engineer for a renewable energy company.

We are currently looking for a QC Engineer to join a renewable energy company.

Our client, a very well-known industry leader, is developing its team on a Renewable energy site in Olt.

QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and managing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes on-site to ensure that all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, tests, and audits, as well as collaborating with construction teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Knowledge requirements:

• Bachelor degree in a discipline related to construction or renewable energy, engineering or architecture is preferred.
• Experience in Quality Management within the renewable energy industry.
• Strong team building skills.
• Experience in contractual documentation and technical specifications.
• Knowledgeable of Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering and constructability within renewable energy plants.
• Knowledge of regulatory, environmental and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
• Advanced proficiency in Construction Management Software (ideally Procore).
• Experience working in an international company.

Preferred Skills

• Three years of experience in a discipline related to construction and/or renewable energy.
• Estimating or site auditing experience is preferred.
• More generally, extensive experience in quality control and quality management in any other industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project-specific QA/QC plan, procedures, and checklists.
• Ensure that QA/QC requirements are integrated into the construction planning and execution processes.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Document and report any non-conformances, defects, or deviations from the project specifications.
• Work closely with construction managers, site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that quality standards are understood and adhered to.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality-related activities.
• Prepare and submit regular QA/QC reports to the QA/QC Manager and Site Manager, highlighting any quality issues and recommended corrective actions.
• Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to address them.
• Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure that they are implemented in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, codes, and regulations.
• Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with QA/QC procedures and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide training and guidance to construction teams and subcontractors on QA/QC requirements and best practices.
• Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement on site.
• Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
• Implement quality risk assessments and maintain a risk register.
• Identify opportunities for improving QA/QC processes and procedures.
• Visit Contractors testing facilities, as required, to review quality programs, metrological plans, staff certification and compliance of standard procedures.
• Contribute to lessons learned and further development and improvement of construction methods on future projects.
