Responsibilities:
Manage the Quality Department, build a high-performing team, and drive employee development, training, and performance management.
Ensure product and service quality standards are achieved and maintained, safeguarding the company's reputation with customers.
Oversee quality inspection processes, product and process validation, control plans, measurement systems, and production quality monitoring.
Lead risk assessment and opportunity identification across quality-related processes and the organization.
Manage customer complaints, corrective and preventive actions (8D), internal audits, supplier quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure purchased materials and services meet company quality requirements.
Support the development and implementation of company procedures, quality controls, and strategic improvement projects.
Monitor departmental KPIs, prepare and manage the annual budget, and report performance results to senior management.
Provide technical guidance and support to engineering, production, and technical teams.
Conduct regular shop-floor visits to identify issues and drive operational excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required in Engineering preferably Metallurgy; postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
Quality-related certifications required; Lean/Six Sigma certifications are an advantage.
Strong expertise in Quality Control and implementation of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).
Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
Advanced computer skills and experience with ERP systems.
Experience in business planning, budgeting, and performance management.
Strong leadership, project and resource management capabilities.
Proven ability to develop teams and drive organizational commitment.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
