*** Please note that this is a contract-based role. The assignment duration is 8 months.

The consultant will act as the onsite MM functional lead for our customer's SAP S/4HANA rollout, ensuring compliance with Romanian tax and procurement regulations, while coordinating with the offshore delivery teams.

Manufacturing industry business process knowledge. Scenarios like Procure to Pay must be known in detail starting from material planning to payment.

Work closely with Romanian procurement and finance departments to validate master data, approval workflows, and vendor compliance.

Procure to Pay Processes for various MM functions:

1. RFQ/Quotation.

4. Contracts & Outline Agreements
5. Goods Receipts/Goods Issue/ Transfer Posting
6. Stock Transfer Order
7. Subcontracting
8. Physical Inventory
9. Service Entry Sheet
10. Invoice Verification
11. Credit Memo/Debit Memo

To carry out essential activities:

1. Implement the project with S/4 HANA latest version.
2. Perform Changes & transports with functional design/system configuration
3. To identify gaps, issues and work around solutions.
4. Ensure end-to-end integrity of accounting postings (MM → FI) for VAT, customs, and withholding tax. Support reconciliation between PO, GR/IR, and supplier invoice within Romanian localization framework.
5. Ability to translate local procurement and taxation requirements into SAP configuration for offshore delivery.
6. Collaborates with Romanian finance and logistics managers to align process automation with statutory rules.
7. Training the end users and preparing end user training material
8. Conduct Unit Testing & Integration testing & UAT
9. Prepare functional specifications for ABAP developments
10. Take lead in master data upload and cut over activities
11. Post go live support

Degree (B. E. / B. Tech/M.E. /MTech) in Mechanical/Electrical/Comp science/E & TC . MBA with operations will be preferred.

Professional experience & Skills

1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience.
2. Designing and configuring MM module processes.
3. Implementation of WM process will be added advantage
4. Experience in configuring MM processes compliant with local taxation laws , tax reporting , tax calculations etc..
5. Fiscal and Legal Integration: A deep understanding of how Romanian tax and fiscal rules impact the MM processes, including goods receipts, invoice verification, and tax calculations.
6. Tax and Legal Reporting: Familiarity with other specific Romanian tax and financial reporting requirements, such as VAT reporting (e.g., Declaration 394), and the ability to configure the system to ensure compliance.
7. Knowledge of the key integration points between the other SAP modules (FI, SD,PP and QM/PM experience is an asset).
8. Knowledge and working experience of integration with non SAP systems
9. 2 or 3 SAP MM project Implementations & 1-2 support project experience
10. Must have verbal and written proficiency in English and Romanian language.
