We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in Romanian accounting, a thorough understanding of relevant financial legislation, and a proven ability to manage complex accounting tasks with accuracy and professionalism. Strong English language skills are required for effective collaboration and reporting.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Ensure accurate bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and reconciliation of accounts in compliance with company’s financial policies and procedures and in compliance with Romanian Accounting Standards, Fiscal Code, and related legislation.
• Process the accounting records of the invoices, the bills and the bank transactions, including the accounts reconciliation.
• Prepare bills and invoices.
• Prepare, verify, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory declarations (e.g., D112, D300, D390, D394, etc.).
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, and other internal financial analyses.
• Monitor changes in legislation and ensure the company’s accounting practices remain compliant.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and providing clarifications.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning activities.
• Maintain and improve internal accounting procedures and controls.
• Liaise with authorities, auditors, and external partners when necessary.

We expect you to:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior or advanced role.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Romanian fiscal system and statutory reporting.
• Be able to work independently, but also as part of a team;
• Are energetic, entrepreneurial, hardworking and persistent;
• Have a creative thinking who thrives for continuous challenges and personal growth;
• Excel in written and verbal English.
