Role Summary

The Senior Director Utility Services is a senior level leadership role responsible for driving growth, profitability, and market expansion within a specialized utility services portfolio. This position combines strategic leadership with hands on customer engagement to shape service offerings and position the organization as a trusted, high value partner.

The role operates across strategy and execution, supporting complex sales efforts while working closely with internal teams to ensure solutions are scalable, differentiated, and operationally sound. Success in this role requires strong commercial judgment, technical credibility, and the ability to align customer needs with measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies across new and existing utility service customers
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to guide service development
• Lead service to market planning aligned with customer priorities and regulatory drivers
• Translate customer challenges into outcome focused, scalable service solutions
• Build and articulate value propositions focused on ROI, risk mitigation, reliability, and compliance
• Serve as a senior, client facing leader supporting complex, solution oriented sales efforts
• Partner closely with sales teams on pursuit strategy, proposals, and value positioning
• Guide pricing strategy with a strong understanding of cost drivers and margins
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to modernize and evolve offerings
• Support service delivery excellence and customer satisfaction through cross functional coordination

Key Requirements

• 15 plus years of experience in utility, telecom, or infrastructure services environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, advanced degree preferred
• Proven experience in technical sales, solution based selling, or service line leadership
• Demonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies
• Strong financial acumen, including pricing, margin, and cost structure understanding
• Ability to independently engage senior stakeholders and influence decisions
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• High level of comfort operating in complex, fast moving environments
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the United States
