As a flooring retailer, efficient and careful dispatch of orders is a critical part of our business.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for preparing and packing customer orders, ensuring products are safely packaged and delivered in undamaged condition.
Because of the nature of flooring products, this role involves a significant amount of physical work. Flooring boxes can weigh up to 24kg, and palletised orders may exceed 800kg. Accessories can be up to 2.4 metres long and require careful preparation and handling to prevent damage during transport.
Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all products are packed securely and dispatched accurately, so they arrive safely and correctly to our customers.
Our warehouse team includes forklift operators who assist with handling pallets. A forklift licence is not required, but it would be beneficial. The company may also support the right candidate in obtaining one and teaching the operation of a forklift. The higher end of the salary bracket is for those with a forklift licence and experience operating a forklift.
This role requires a strong focus on care and attention to detail. While flooring products are heavy, they are also fragile before installation, so careful handling and high packing standards are essential.
