Non-Life Actuary | Junior & Senior Opportunities

Are you looking to build or further develop your actuarial career within a leading international insurance group?

Our long lasting client is expanding its Actuarial Non-Life team and is looking for both Junior Non-Life Actuaries and Experienced Non-Life Actuaries to support Group-wide Solvency II and IFRS 17 activities across multiple European markets.

Whether you are at the beginning of your actuarial journey or already have several years of experience, this is an opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborate with actuarial experts across the Generali Group, and contribute to high-impact projects supporting one of the world's leading insurance companies.

What you will do

Depending on your level of experience, you will:

• Support and monitor actuarial reporting activities under Solvency II and IFRS 17 frameworks.
• Analyze key actuarial and financial performance indicators across multiple countries.
• Investigate trends, variances, and portfolio performance drivers.
• Collaborate with local actuarial, finance, and risk teams across the Group.
• Support technical analyses related to reserves, methodologies, and reporting requirements.
• Participate in Profit & Loss analysis and explain key business drivers.
• Build expertise in country-specific insurance portfolios and regulatory environments.
• Contribute to process improvements and the evolution of actuarial reporting practices.

For senior candidates, the role also includes:

• Acting as the primary actuarial contact for assigned countries.
• Providing technical guidance on actuarial methodologies and reporting topics.
• Driving in-depth performance analysis and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Mentoring junior team members and sharing actuarial best practices.

Who we are looking for

Junior Non-Life Actuary

• Degree or Master's studies in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 0–3 years of actuarial experience.
• Understanding of Solvency II and/or IFRS 17 principles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a proactive mindset.

Non-Life Actuary (Experienced)

• 5+ years of actuarial experience.
• Strong knowledge of Solvency II technical provisions and reporting requirements.
• Experience in actuarial analysis, reserving, monitoring, or reporting activities.
• Understanding of IFRS 17 and its impact on insurance business performance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to communicate complex actuarial topics to different stakeholders.
• Experience working with actuarial or statistical tools such as R, Python, ResQ, or similar is considered an advantage.

Nice to Have

• Experience within insurance or reinsurance companies.
• Knowledge of non-life reserving techniques.
• Exposure to international or group-level reporting environments.
• Additional European languages (Italian is a plus).
• Interest in data analytics, AI, or machine learning applications in insurance.
