We are looking for an Application Deployment & Support Engineer to join our team. This role focuses primarily on installing, deploying, and debugging applications across non-production environments (UAT, QA, Dev) with less emphasis on functional testing. You will work closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and reliable deployment of Java applications, microservices, and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities

Application Deployment & Support

- Install and deploy Java applications on WebSphere Application Server 9 and WebLogic across UAT environments (AIX, Linux).

- Execute associated database scripts (SQL) as part of deployment activities.

- Install and configure microservices on OpenShift (Docker-based) environments.

- Perform deployments through both manual installation and automated CI/CD pipelines (primarily Jenkins).

- Support and troubleshoot applications deployed on non-production environments.

- Collaborate with developers to analyze received application packages and ensure successful installation.

- Provide technical support to testers on UAT environments.

ETL & Windows Server Deployments (Secondary Scope)

- Support deployment and execution of ETL flows (Informatica PowerCenter).

- Deploy certain applications on Windows Servers when required.

- WAS (WebSphere) console

- WebLogic console

- OpenShift / Docker

- Unix-based scripting (ksh, bash)

- Jenkins

- GitLab

- Artifactory

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in application deployment or environment support, with practical exposure to at least one of the following (not necessarily at an administrative level):

- WebSphere Application Server (WAS) – installation, deployment, troubleshooting

- Microservices deployment on OpenShift / Docker

- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)

- Unix/Linux scripting (bash/ksh)

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with ETL tools, preferably Informatica PowerCenter

- Exposure to Windows Server application deployments

- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD and artifact repositories (Artifactory)

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical/troubleshooting abilities

- Good communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to follow structured deployment documentation and procedures

- Ownership mindset and attention to detail
