Responsibilities

• Take over full functional and technical ownership of our enterprise-wide data analytics platform, supporting self-service BI, advanced analytics, and data governance – currently based on Microsoft Fabric.
• Manage the platform lifecycle, including release planning, update coordination, testing concepts, and the technical operation in close collaboration with IT and business units.
• Gather and prioritize and implement platform-related requirements from stakeholders (e.g., functionality, integration, governance), evaluate technical feasibility, and ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
• Ensure the platform architecture supports secure, scalable usage by data engineers, data analysts, business users, and data scientists.
• Maintain all necessary documentation and concepts, such as platform architecture, security concepts, data protection, integration and interface and operations concepts.
• Collaborate with data architects, IT security, data privacy teams, procurement, and external vendors – including vendor selection and management for development, support, or operations.
• Maintain a product roadmap and implement it to meet the expectations of the users.
  

Qualifications

• Solid experience as Application Owner, Platform Owner, or a similar role in analytics, BI, or data platform domain.
• Good understanding and experience with corporate IT management processes.
• Technically fluent with tools like Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Synapse, or similar data management platforms.
• Understand data management, data models, ETL processes, interfaces (e.g., ODBC, REST, SQL, DWH), and data governance practices.
• Comfortable navigating between business and IT, documenting and prioritizing requirements in a structured way. Being able to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders is important.
• Customer oriented and ability to translate customer requirements into feasible technical solutions.
• Independent, solution-oriented, and a strong communicator – fluent in German and English.
