Digital Point-of-sale Finance (“dPOSF”) and Buy Now Pay Later (“BNPL”) are the hottest trends in Fintech. Currently, Leanpay is a dPOSF & BNPL market leader in Slovenia and is working hard to be at the forefront of that trend in Central and Southeastern Europe.
A great milestone was achieved this 2024 year when Leanpay secured €10M in Series B Funding. It will enable us to solidify our market leadership in Slovenia, scale our operations in Romania and Hungary, continue to roll out innovative services, and attract top talent to our growing team to become the digital consumer lending champion in the Central & Eastern European region.
LEANPAY I.F.N. S.A. (Leanpay Romania) is a non-banking financial institution (IFN), licensed by the NBR, with our headquarter's in Bucharest, Costache Negri 1-5 street, Opera Center, 4th floor. Our team of experienced professionals from retail, banking and financial software development allows us to create solutions that bring additional value to our network of shops and their customers.
We are currently looking for motivated and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager located in Cluj to join our teamand cover Cluj and surrounding areas: Alba Iulia, Turda, Bistrita, Zalau, Baia Mare, Satu Mare, Oradea and Targu Mures. The main focus of a Area Sales Manager is to drive the growth of Leanpay’s merchant network and maximize partner performance by acquiring new merchant partners, optimizing the customer journey and Leanpay position and visibility in the shops, and ensuring continuous support, branding alignment, and issue resolution to increase loan volumes and long-term partner success.
What will the Area Sales Manager be doing?
- Developing and owning healthy monthly B2B sales funnel by qualifying leads and managing the relationship with an existing portfolio of key merchant partners;
- Attracting and signing new merchant partners to use and promote Leanpay by presenting Leanpay solutions, added value and advantages to potential merchant partners;
- Cold calling to qualify leads and converting leads into deals; actively making contacts (inbound and outbound) with existing customers and new prospects;
- Managing the existing portfolio of merchant partners, developing the merchant partner network and promoting Leanpay’s services, maintaining the existing customer database and developing new growth opportunities with existing partners;
- Visiting shops and providing live and remote assistance to shop personnel in the process of implementing and using Leanpay services and solutions (explaining process steps and Leanpay materials, providing phone support and Q&A etc.);
- Presenting and introducing of best practices for shop personnel to help the consumer pay in installments with Leanpay (efficiently, fast, easily, responsibly), while upselling and cross selling the shop's merchandise;
- Implementing Leanpay best practices for POS activities (for example: communication, marketing, consumer journey) with merchant partners, to optimize proper and responsible use of the Leanpay consumer loans by consumers;
- Systematically monitoring the development of Leanpay POS lending volume in the shops, compared to the shop's potential and actively making suggestions to improve the user and merchant experience and as a result increase the POS loan volumes;
- Setting up and updating POS materials in shops, organizing and coordinating promotions in shops;
- Providing merchants implementation support together with the team
- Fulfilling the action plan to achieve monthly / quarterly / annual targets in terms of sales, relationship management, consumer acquisition and others, collaborating with the Head of Sales;
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on deliverables, activities carried out and results achieved in the development of the Leanpay’s partners network and in increasing the number of users of Leanpay services;
- Acting as an ambassador for Leanpay Romania at trade shows, exhibitions and local business networks;
- Fulfilling the responsibilities and activities of the ASM through the systematic and complete daily use of the company Client relationship Management tools and processes in line with Leanpay internal rules.
What will the successful candidate have?
- 3+ years of relevant experience in B2B sales and relationship management (for example specific experience from retail financial services or retail / e-commerce B2B sales, sales of POS devices and systems to mid-market retailers, or experience from financial institutions working with SMEs);
- A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Economics, Business or similar);
- A hands-on attitude with proven ability to achieve goals and plans, and a motivation to be a part of a growing Leanpay Romania success story;
- Good understanding of B2B Sales, CRM processes and organization (existing B2B network of retail prospects would be an advantage);
- Demonstrating the ability to identify the right business opportunities while delivering excellent customer experience, good problem-solving skills;
- Driver`s license (B) and willingness to travel across the country;
- Ambition and energy, drive for success and ability to work in a fully independent and responsible manner.
