Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay is currently seeking applicants for an Area Sales Manager – Western Romania

In this position, you will drive profitable growth across Romania by developing customer relationships, building and managing a healthy pipeline, and ensuring strong cross-functional coordination to deliver value and execution excellence for customers.

Location: You will be working from home office and are ideally located in Sibiu, Timisoara or Brasov

What you will be doing:

• Own territory execution across Romania, including account planning, customer coverage, pipeline management, and forecasting accuracy.
• Develop long-term customer partnerships and manage senior stakeholder relationships across commercial and technical interfaces.
• Identify and structure new business and demand creation opportunities; support design activity and conversion into revenue.
• Lead commercial discussions (pricing, terms) and ensure disciplined follow-up and execution.
• Provide market & customer intelligence (applications, trends, competitors) and translate it into focused actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources, align stakeholders, evaluate milestones, and support final acceptance of deliverables as needed.
• Provide information and consultancy on key principles and standards of cooperation with customers and partners.
• Plan and coordinate activities in assigned local projects or workstreams, together with involved management and stakeholders.

What you will bring along:

• Proven experience in B2B sales / account management in a technical or industrial environment (electronics/semiconductors preferred).
• Educated at min. Bachelor level in Electronic Engineering, or similar
• Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills, and ability to manage complex sales cycles.
• Structured, proactive, customer-oriented mindset with a hands-on mentality.
• Strong communication skills in English; fluency in Romanian language is expected.
• Willingness to travel mainly within Romania
• Good knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and standard business software (MS Office).
