Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Automation Consultant / Project Manager to be the strategic bridge between our enterprise clients and our technical engineering teams. In this role, you are a trusted advisor, and you will lead automation initiatives for our German-speaking clients, ensuring that our automation solutions resolve their business problems, we deliver on our promises, and projects stay within budget. If you combine a deep understanding of software delivery with a consultative mindset and a passion for leading teams, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on both our customers and our engineers.

You will own the end-to-end delivery process of a portfolio of RPA and automation projects. Your day-to-day will involve switching hats between a consultant who uncovers business pain points, a project manager who guards the budget and timeline, and a leader who empowers the technical team to do their best work.

What you'll do

• Act as a true consultant. You don't just gather requirements; you listen, propose, and drive the client. You will dive deep into their current processes to understand, optimize, and adapt them for automation, ensuring the business workflow perfectly aligns with the proposed technical solution concept.
• Prepare and present solution proposals, designs and project plans to our clients, clearly and confidently, in both German and English.
• Guide clients’ IT Infrastructure teams in preparing and setting up their infrastructure, leveraging our standardized documentation and coordinating closely with your technical colleagues.
• Monitor project implementation from kickoff to go-live with an uncompromising focus on excellence. Proactively identify risks and mitigate issues in close collaboration with the engineering team to ensure we consistently deliver "Swiss-quality" standards in every project we touch.
• Take ownership of the project's scope and the actual value it delivers. You will evaluate requirements to understand their business impact, actively guiding both the client and the engineering team. Your goal is to ensure high-quality delivery that solves the business problem and gives the most business value to our clients.
• Think beyond what was asked; proactively identify gaps in the client's processes and propose new solutions to solve their broader problems.
• Manage team performance and foster a collaborative environment. Work closely with your team members to support their growth and enable them to reach their potential.

Who you are

You are a highly organized leader who speaks both IT and business “language”. You are empathetic to client needs but firm on project scope and quality.

• You have a proven track record in IT project management, business analysis, or technical consulting, ideally within the RPA or intelligent automation space.
• You possess excellent, professional-level fluency in both German and English (written and spoken). You are comfortable presenting to executive stakeholders in either language.
• You have a consultative mindset. You know how to conduct workshops and ask the right questions to translate vague client desires into concrete technical requirements.
• While you don't need to write the code yourself, you understand software lifecycles, infrastructure basics, and can easily facilitate conversations between IT Admins, business stakeholders and developers.
• You have hands-on experience managing project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
• You have experience (or a strong natural aptitude) for mentoring, managing team dynamics, and bringing out the best in the people you work with.

This position is available via Employment Contract (CIM) only. B2B or independent contractor arrangements are not available for this role.
