QA Automation Engineer

We’re working with an organisation in the financial markets infrastructure space, supporting critical post-trade and regulatory reporting platforms across Europe.

Right now, they’re looking for a QA Test Automation Engineer to join their Bucharest-based team, helping ensure the quality and reliability of systems operating in a highly regulated financial environment.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be hands-on designing, maintaining, and executing automated test suites within an established Java/Selenium framework.

That includes:

• Developing and executing automated test cases using an existing Java/Selenium framework
• Building and maintaining test scripts using pre-defined Java methods
• Participating in regression, integration, and end-to-end testing cycles
• Collaborating with developers and business analysts to ensure test coverage meets regulatory requirements
• Reporting and tracking defects to support high-quality platform releases
• Working closely with a Bucharest-based delivery team in a hybrid setup

What they’re looking for

• 3–5 years of hands-on software testing experience
• Experience or basic knowledge of financial markets, instruments, or regulations (e.g. MiFIR, EMIR, SFTR)
• Solid SQL skills for data querying and validation
• Working knowledge of Java and Selenium (no need to build frameworks from scratch)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

• Deeper understanding of European financial regulations
• Experience in post-trade or regulatory reporting environments
• Background in large enterprise or financial services organisations

• Working model: Hybrid (1 day / week on-site)
