Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Billing Manager Group to lead the billing operations within our organization. This position will be responsible for diagnosing the current group billing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and making recommendations to standardize and streamline billing practices. This role will oversee the entire billing cycle, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and collaborate with other departments to implement process improvements for a more efficient and consistent approach to billing across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Management

• Lead and manage the Group billing team, providing training, guidance, and performance management to ensure high-quality output.

Billing

• Oversee the preparation, review, and issuance of accurate and timely invoices for clients.
• Manage and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries promptly and efficiently, maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Maintain up-to-date client records in the group accounting tools.

Continuous process improvement

• Perform a continuous and comprehensive diagnosis of existing billing practices across the group and across all functions (e.g. sales, operations, finance). Identify inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement standardized billing procedures across the organization to ensure consistency, reduce errors, increase speed and improve overall efficiency.
• Identify and implement billing automation solutions and tools that can help streamline operations and improve reporting capabilities including AI application to billing

Credit risk assessment

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing clients and recommend appropriate credit limits
• Monitor and manage the group credit risk, providing regular updates to management on high-risk accounts

Reporting

• Prepare detailed billing performance reports for management review, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities

Compliance

• Ensure billing activities comply with tax regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity in all billing operations.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews.

Your profile:

• 10+ years in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role, preferably in a group or multinational environment
• Proven experience in performing process assessments, recommending process improvements and implementing process changes
• Proficient in financial software (e.g. Exact, SAP by Design, or similar ERP systems) o Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze financial data o Familiarity with automation tools and invoicing systems is a plus
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment o Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
