The Forecast Team in Bucharest, part of Mercedes-Benz Romania, supports Sales Operations at Mercedes-Benz Cars to ensure the optimal supply of the desired option codes for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars to markets worldwide. Throughout the entire product lifecycle, you will gain in depth insights into the vehicles of the future. You will work closely with Vehicle Product Management and Purchasing.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven and enthusiastic candidate to join the Order Management Center for Passenger Cars in Bucharest as Forecaster. The role combines conceptual and analytical responsibilities with operational day‑to‑day business tasks.

Main responsibilities and everyday challenges:

• Contribute to the development of data‑driven forecasts for option take rates, working closely with the Ordering department across the entire product lifecycle and providing analytical input

• Analyze and validate input data used for forecasting, including checks on data quality, plausibility, consistency and completeness across different data sources

• Review and validate requirement variants, option code rules and offering logic for technical correctness, in close collaboration with Vehicle Product Management and, if needed, with Supply Chain in cases of unclear or inconsistent code definitions.

• Support the structuring, automation and continuous improvement of analytical processes, identify inefficiencies or inconsistencies in existing workflows, and contribute ideas for data‑based optimizations.

What we expect from you:

• University degree in Business Administration / Economics / Finance / Engineering or related

• Strong automotive knowledge

• Solid foundational understanding of technical concepts such as structured data formats (e.g. CSV, JSON), interfaces / APIs, as well as data flows and dependencies

• Practical experience in working with data, for example through SQL databases, scripting (e.g. Python) or analytical tools

• Understanding of analytical problem‑solving and data logic, such as KPIs, time series, as well as plausibility and consistency checks

• Interest in data‑ and technology‑oriented solutions and willingness to familiarize oneself with new tools and methods

• Highly proficient in written and spoken German and English

• Strong team player, very good communication and interpersonal skills
